Zealand Pharma
Zealand Pharma is a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery and development of innovative peptide-based drugs. The products target diseases and symptoms of significant unmet clinical need and commercial potential.
Since 1999, Zealand’s scientists have built a pipeline of compounds among which many have reached the clinical development stage. For the time being Zealand Pharma has one compound in clinical phase III development, one compounds in clinical phase II development and three compounds in clinical phase I development. In addition, two compounds are in pre-clinical development.
As part of the Company’s operations, Zealand Pharma has formed clinical development partnerships with leading pharmaceutical companies Sanofi-Aventis, Wyeth and Helsinn Healthcare.
Zealand Pharma is based in Copenhagen and has approximately 65 employees.
Zealand Pharma A/S has received the prestigious "2008 European Research & Development Company of the Year Award" from Frost & Sullivan, a global growth consulting firm.
The Award was presented at a ceremony held at London Zoo on March 19, 2009.
